We’ll meet at a designated point in the center of Marrakech, where private transportation will take us comfortably to our Kasbah in Zagora. Upon arrival, you’ll meet your guide and fellow travelers, and we’ll go over the plan for the upcoming journeys while enjoying a wonderful local dinner prepared by our host.

Meet the camels
After breakfast, we will drive to the starting point of the route.Â
Once there, we will meet our local guide and the camels we will use for our equipment. Then we will start our first hike through a beautiful valley until we reach a river. Yes, a river. Well, an old river bed. We will follow it until our campsite.Â
Our first night under the stars.

Hiking in a riverbed
We will enjoy a beautiful breakfast, and right after, we will start our second hike in the desert. We will keep on following our dear river, enjoying rock formations and imagining the better old times of this river

The highest dune
The special treat of the day will be reaching the dunes. But not just this. We will climb Erg Chebbi, the highest dune in the area. 150 mts/ 492 feet of altitude from which we will have spectacular views of all of it.
We will spend part of the day hiking in the dunes, enjoying the vastness of this incredible space. Resting and relaxing will be an important mission for the rest of the day.

Dune hiking
A sunrise in the Sahara Desert and breakfast. A long day ahead of us with more dune hiking for some part of the day. Once we leave the dunes, we will head to the Draa River, where we will spend our last night.

The end and the reward
Our last day will be a relaxing one. A beautiful hike through the Draa River until our pick-up point, where our drivers will be waiting for us with an amazing reward.
Tonight we will sleep in another beautiful kasbah and enjoy our last goodbye dinner.

Some history
Today will be a long day of driving. But in order to make it more enjoyable, we will stop and visit Ait Ben Hadu. One of the historic fortified villages of the country. Gladiator was filmed here! We will eat, and we will continue our journey until we arrive in Marrakech.

Route requirements
- Min age: 16 / Max age: 70
- Physical & endurance requirements: trip participants need to be in good shape and capable of trekking over mixed terrain for long distances (around 8 hours). On average our trekking days are 5-7 hours per day.
- Type of terrain: rocky terrain with sometimes loose rocks. We could find snow on the highest mountain passes.
